The Macau Jockey Club’s final meeting of the 2009-2010 season on Saturday has seen Australian trainer Gary Moore and Brazilian jockey Manoel Nunes wrap up their fourth Championship titles.

Moore really ended the season on a high note winning the three feature races on the day, the Macau Racehorse Owners Association Bowl, the Racehorse Owners Association Cup, and the Racehorse Owners Association Plate.

Operating with a much smaller team this season Moore finished with 68 winners, 12 ahead of Patrick Lee on 56, with Alan Tam in third on 52 wins.

“My team this season was small on numbers but big in quality.” Moore said.

“It’s just been a lot of planning right down to the last day and I’m thrilled to win my fourth championship.”

“I’ve had a lot of suspensions this season otherwise I think I would have gone close to breaking my record.” Nunes said.

“I’ve won the Triple Crown, my third Derby it’s just been a great season

“Once again I want to thank all of my owners and trainer’s for their support.”

From 431 rides this season Nunes rode 112 winners giving him a win strike rate of almost 26%.
