Race Report

RACE-4 THE HONAN RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1100 METRES (52)

2 Rayden (W L Ho) –Near the 400 metres had to be steadied momentarily when held up. Passing the 100 metres shifted out to obtain a run to the outside of 7 Strong Alloy and then had to be checked when that horse, which was weakening rolled out marginally. As a result went to the line not fully tested. A swab was taken and a post race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
4 Florence Elite (K W Leong) –Hampered near the 700 metres.
5 Hanigan (L Salles) –Threw it head in the air on jumping away unbalancing its rider who lost the use of his right iron for a short distance. Hampered near the 700 metres. Disappointing. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
9 Golden Bullet (R Curatolo) –Was slow to begin (2L).
10 Great Tiger (K H Yu) –Commencing the turn near the 700 metres had to be checked off the heels.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
When the pace steadied commencing the turn near the 700 metres, 11 Only Pearl (C Perkins)
had to checked when close to the heels of 7 Strong Alloy (H Lam) and when placed in restricted room between 6 Excellent Brothers (W H Lao) and 1 The Mighty (L Corrales). 5 Hanigan (L Salles),10 Great Tiger (K H Yu) and 4 Florence Elite (K W Leong) which were following were hampered in consequence.
