Race Report

RACE-2 THE EMERALD RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1500 METRES (68)
2 Golden Champ (M Cangas) –Raced three wide without cover throughout. A post race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had suffered a bleeding attack.
3 Magician Code (A Calder) –Was marginally slow to begin.
5 More Than Happy (W L Ho) –Proved difficult to load. Trainer K S Cheong was informed that a warning was being placed against the gelding and should it perform in a similar manner in future further action maybe taken. Approaching the 400 metres had to be steadied when awkwardly placed between runners.
6 Race King (B Yamzon) – On arrival at the barrier was found to be lame in front and was a late withdrawal at 2:54pm. Trainer K Seo was informed that the gelding will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary clearance is produced.
8 Beauty Of Victory (Apprentice Y M Choi) –Shifted out over the concluding stages when being ridden along taking 5 More Than Happy out off its course. Rider was informed that he must stop riding and straighten his mount when in similar circumstances in future.
11 Golden Commandment (J Cordero) –Was marginally slow to begin.
12 I'm Unique (R Curatolo) – Rider explained that he tried to gain cover during the early stages however was unable to do so and was subsequently caught wide during the event. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
