Race Report

RACE-2 THE HARROW RATING 55-0 (CLASS 4,5&6) 1000 METRES (128)

2 Cheerful Fish (A Calder) –Poor performance. The rider reported that the gelding laid out passing the 500 metres and then again down straight. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
3 Rider Navigator (L Salles) –Approaching 300 metres had to be restrained to avoid the heels of 4 Show Smart (W T Pao) which shifted in when hanging when not quite clear. After considering all the circumstance Stewards severely reprimanded W T Pao and notified him that he must make a far greater effort to straighten his mount than he did on this occasion.
4 Show Smart (W T Pao) –Jumped away awkwardly and made contact with 10 Cheerful Companion (M Cangas). Laid in for the majority of the race. Trainer K S Cheong was notified that the gelding must perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial, at which time it must race tractably, prior to racing again.
5 River Dream (D Chong) –Approaching 600 metres became unbalanced, and laid out before being straightened by its rider.
6 God Get People (K K Lai) –Was slowed away (1L). Disappointing performance K K Lai the rider of 6 God Get People reported that his mount failed to handle today’s track conditions.
8 Hostwin Treasure (C Perkins) –Jumped away awkwardly. Raced wide without cover.
10 Cheerful Companion (M Cangas) –Soon after jumping away was slightly hampered when brushed by 4 Show Smart (W T Pao) which laid in before being straightened by its rider.
