Race Report

RACE-3 THE PROSPERITY RATING 45-25 (CLASS 4&5) 1200 METRES (165)

1 Beautiful Alloy (H Lam) –Was slow to begin. Raced three wide without cover.
2 Wan Shi Sheng Yi (D Chong) – Trainer K M Chin advised the Stewards that he would instructing Jockey D Chong to ride the gelding positively from the barriers. Was marginally slow to begin and settled at the rear of the field despite the strong urgings of its rider. Disappointing performance. Rider D Chong explained that the gelding was one paced and was a beaten horse at the 100 meters. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
3 China Cheers (W H Lao) –Raced very wide without cover.
4 Lucky Today (C Perkins) –Over raced in the back straight.
9 Happy Proposal (C F Wong) –At the 300 metres had to be steadied when tightened for room between 3 China Cheers (W H Lao) and 5 My Name Is Bruce (K K Lai) which shifted out to obtain clear running. Jockey K K Lai was issued a reprimand and notified that he must be clear of runners when shifting ground at all times.
10 Iron Alloy (M Cangas) –Had a tendency to lay in in the straight.
12 Chilli Boy (W L Ho) –Threw its head in the air when the gates were released, momentarily unbalancing its rider. Rider W L Ho explained that the gelding jumped a tyre mark at the 1000 metres however could offer no real explanation for the disappointing performance. A post race swab was taken for analysis and a post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
