Race Report

RACE-6 THE LET US FAMOUS RATING 85-60 (CLASS 2) 1000 METRES (260)

1 Master Of Assayer (L Corrales) – Disappointing performance. Rider reported that his mount may not have been suited by today’s track condition. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. A swab sample was taken for analysis.
5 Rayden (L Salles) – When questioned, Trainer Y C Fung informed the Stewards that he attributed the apparent improved performance to the fact that the gelding was dropping from an open class event to a rating 85-60 and also that the gelding was more comfortable in today’s good track conditions.
7 Gunstigmaster (C F Chan) – Bounded in the air when the gates were released and lost ground. Then approaching the 700 metres had to be steadied when tightened between 9 Vigormaster and 6 Achilles Sword, both of which shifted ground. Rider reported that his saddle slipped during the event. He could offer no real explanation for the disappointing performance today, however highlighted that it was having its first start since November last year. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
9 Vigormaster (K W Leong) –Jumped away awkwardly.
10 Windsor Arch Five (M Cangas) –As Jockey R Curatolo became indisposed and as there was no other rider available, the Stewards permitted Jockey M Cangas to ride 10 Windsor Arch Five overweight. Was marginally slow to begin.
11 Victory Megastar (A Aucharuz) – Jumped away awkwardly. Disappointing performance. Rider reported that his mount may not have been suited by today’s track condition. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
12 Happy Bunny (H Lam) – Rider H Lam was fined the sum of HK$5,000 for failing to ride his mount out to the finish.
