RACE-5 THE SHUNDE (DIV 2) (TURF) RATING 30-0 (CLASS 6) 1200 METRES (306)

3 Alway Better (L Corrales) – Over raced through the middle stages. Disappointing performance. When questioned Jockey L Corrales explained that due to the lack of speed in the event he was instructed to take up a forward position and after taken the lead his mount commenced to over race and compounded from the 400 metres. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. A swab sample was taken for analysis.
6 Best Double (A Calder) – Disappointing performance. Rider was unable to offer any tangible explanation for the performance tonight.
7 Golden Harbour (W L Ho) - Was slow to muster speed. Suffered a bleeding attack. Trainer Pat Lee was informed that the standard stand down period applies and before being permitted to race again a veterinary clearance must be produced and the gelding must perform satisfactorily in a Barrier Trial.
8 Rockin Laser (A Aucharuz) –Raced three wide without cover.
10 Windsor Arch Two (H Lam) –Was resaddled at the barriers. Was slow to muster speed.
