Race Report

RACE-6 THE CAMBRIDGE RATING 75-50 (CLASS 2&3) 1350 METRES (24)
This race was rescheduled to start at 9:40pm.

2 Grand Double Win (L Salles)- Jumped awkwardly. Leaving the 800 metres was checked when tightened for room between 3 My Masterpiece and 8 My Favourites which hung in abruptly despite the efforts of its rider. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
3 My Masterpiece (W Smith)- Performed below market expectations. Rider reported that his mount was one paced throughout and was a beaten horse at the 200 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding was lame in the right foreleg. Trainer K S Ho was informed that the gelding will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary clearance is produced.
4 Jungle Prince (B Yamzon)- Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race. Poor performance. Rider reported that he had concerns with his mounts action near the 600 metres. He added in the home straight 4 Jungle Prince failed to respond to his riding so he elected to ease the gelding out of the race. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K C Chong was advised that he must present 4 Jungle Prince to the Veterinary Clinic on Saturday 8 October 2016 for a thorough veterinary examination and in addition the gelding will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until such time that it has performed satisfactorily in an official Barrier Trial.
8 My Favourites (C F Chan)- Jumped awkwardly and was tightened for room shortly after between 3 My Masterpiece and 7 Speed Of King which shifted in. Near the 1100 metres hung out. Leaving the 800 metres hung in despite the efforts of its rider and continued to race ungenerously for a short distance. Trainer K S Ho was informed that 8 My Favourites will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until such time that it has performed satisfactorily in an official Barrier Trial due to its unsatisfactory racing manners.
