Race Report

RACE-5 THE AGATE RATING 85-60 (CLASS 2) 1350 METRES (53)

2 Vigor Partner (A Calder) –Shortly after the start was buffeted between 9 King Achilles and 11 Brave Flying Hawk which after beginning awkwardly shifted in under hard riding. After considering all the circumstances Jockey R Curatolo the rider of 11 Brave Flying Hawk was issued with a severe reprimand and advised that he is to stop riding and straighten his mounts when they are shifting ground in future.
3 Feast For Eyes (W L Ho) –Performed below market expectations. Rider reported that he was at a lost to explain the disappointing as his mount traveled well throughout however failed to run on in the home straight. A swab sample was taken for analysis. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer J Lau was informed that he would be required to present the gelding to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 5th November 2016.
4 Gem Eagle (A Aucharuz) –Over raced in the middle stages.
9 King Achilles (C Perkins) –Over raced in the middle stages.
10 Basement (H Lam) –On entering the home straight hung in under pressure, resulting in its rider having to stop and straighten his mount.
12 Son Of Unicorn (L Corrales) –Raced wide without cover throughout. Performed below market expectations. Rider reported that in his opinion his mount was not suited by today’s quick tempo and would be better suited to races of a lower class.
