Race Report

RACE-2 THE SANDOWN RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1200 METRES (68)

1 Jade Elite (C F Chan) –Near the 800 metres was steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of 12 Moon Walker. Raced wide rounding the home turn.
5 Bo Bo So Great (W Smith) –Trainers C F Chan/K Seo were informed that 5 Bo Bo So Great which pulled up lame in the left foreleg will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary clearance is produce.
6 Power Sequalo (L Salles) –Resaddled behind the barriers.
7 River Sandtop (K H Yu) –Proved difficult to load. Trainer S H Cheong was informed that a warning had been placed on the gelding for its barrier manners.
8 Easy Thai (A Calder) –Leaving the 1000 metres was bumped by 12 Moon Walker which when racing greenly shifted out. Approaching the 800 metres was again bumped on two occasions by 12 Moon Walker which shifted out. After considering all the circumstances, Jockey H Lam the rider of 12 Moon Walker was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances in future and to ensure that he makes sufficient effort to stop his mounts making unnecessary contact with other runners. Raced wide without cover throughout.
9 Ideal Smart Horse (M Cangas) –Refused to load and was a late scratching at 7:43pm. Trainer K M Chin was informed that the gelding will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until such time that it performs satisfactorily in an official Barrier Trial.
10 Golden Stallion (Y M Choi) –Jumped away awkwardly and made heavy contact with 8 Easy Thai.
11 Californiatreasure (R Curatolo) - Resaddled behind the barriers. When the paced steadied near the 800 metre commenced to over race, brushed the running rail and was steadied momentarily. Was inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight. Near the 200 metres was momentarily held up when unable to improve for a short distance.
12 Moon Walker (H Lam) –Leaving the 1000 metres commenced to race greenly.
