RACE-2 THE CALCUTTA RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1200 METRES (202)

1 My Lucky Baby (M Wepner) –Near the 800 metres was steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of 4 Winner Fortune. Rider was unable to offer any tangible explanation for the disappointing performance of the gelding today. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
2 Sacred Warrior (W L Ho) –Was caught racing wide without cover throughout. Performed below market expectations. Rider reported that being forced to race wide without cover had contributed to the gelding not finishing off the race as expected. A swab sample was taken for analysis. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
3 Roaring Star (Apprentice S Meneanen) –The Stewards gave permission for Apprentice S Meneanen to ride the gelding at 118lbs. Apprentice S Meneanen was issued a severe reprimand for failing to claim his full allowance and was advised that any future breaches may incur a more severe penalty. Jumped awkwardly. Rider was issued a severe reprimand for dropping his whip near the 200 metres.
4 Winner Fortune (A Aucharuz) –Jumped awkwardly.
5 Holy Ascension (B Yamzon) –Was inclined to race fiercely in the early stages.
7 Wan Shi Sheng Yi (M Cangas) –Near the 800 metres was bumped by 4 Winner Fortune on a number of occasions.
