Race Report

RACE-2 LISBOA PRELUDE (LISTED RACE) OPEN 1100 METRES (232)

6 Surdmaster (W Smith) –From the 1000 metres to the 800 metres was inconvenienced by the riderless horse. Raced wide without cover throughout.
8 Go Go Fish (L Salles) –On entering the home straight was inclined to shift out under pressure until near the 200 metres.
9 Kelson (K K Lai) –Jumped awkwardly and was then slow into stride.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Following the running of the race, the “Enquiry” sign was semaphored to allow the Stewards to review the official video of the start to establish whether 2 Luen On Star (A Aucharuz) had been afforded a fair start. After taking evidence from the Starting Team Mr. P K Mou, Mr. W Z Liang and Mr. W K Lei, Jockey A Aucharuz and trainer G Allendorf, it was established that in the barriers 2 Luen On Star reared dislodging its rider from the saddle and remained riderless when the start was effected. Acting under MJC Rule 28 (ix) (b) the Stewards declared 2 Luen On Star a non starter and accordingly all bets on 2 Luen On Star be refunded in full. The Stewards will conduct a full review into the incident.
