RACE-4 THE BACOLOD RATING 95-70 (CLASS 1&2) 1050 METRES (278)

1 Invincible (W L Ho) –Jockey W L Ho when questioned could offer no reason for the performance today other than that his mount blew hard and tired after the race. He added it was disappointing in comparison to previous starts. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. When questioned regarding the performance of 1 Invincible, Trainer K S Ho said that it was his intention to have a full veterinary examination on the horse. He added that it was also his intention to give the horse a spell. The Stewards noted his explanations and he was further advised that if he becomes aware of anything that may have affected the horse’s performance today, he must report it to the Stewards.
2 Gem Eagle (H Lam) –Shortly after the start was crowded between 4 The Whirlwind which jumped awkwardly outwards and 3 Evergreen Star which jumped awkwardly inwards.
7 Gunstigmaster (W Smith) –Was slow into stride.
9 Son Of Unicorn (R Curatolo) –Near the 700 metres steadied when 6 Diva Achiever rolled in. The Stewards questioned Jockey R Curatolo regarding his seemingly lack of vigour in the early part of the straight. Jockey R Curatolo explained that his mount was already a beaten horse at that stage and was running out. The Stewards reminded Jockey R Curatolo of his obligations to ride all his mounts to the finish whenever possible and in such a manner as to leave no room for query. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
