Race Report

RACE-6 THE FLEMINGTON RATING 85-60 (CLASS 2) 1050 METRES (358)

1 China Paradise (Apprentice K Leung) -At the 950 metres shifted out severely crowding 6 My Showtime.
2 Red Dragon (M Wepner) - At the 950 metres was crowded for room.
3 Gunstigmaster (W Smith) -At the 200 metres was disappointed for a run between 1 China Paradise and 5 King Achilles which shifted in. Was then switched over the heels of 1 China Paradise to obtain clear running.
4 Thar (W L Ho) -At the 950 metres hung in.
5 King Achilles -At the 950 metres crowded for room.
6 My Showtime (L Corrales) -At the 950 metres was severely crowded and lost some ground. Stewards inquiry.
8 Rayden (Y M Choi) -Was slow into stride.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
The Stewards inquired into an incident at the 950 metres. Evidence was taken from Jockeys L Corrales the rider of 6 My Showtime, W L Ho the rider of 4 Thar, K K Lai the rider of 5 King Achilles, M Wepner the rider of 2 Red Dragon and Apprentice K Leung the rider of 1 China Paradise. After considering the evidence and reviewing the video patrol, it was established that at the 950 metres 6 My Showtime was severely crowded when 1 China Paradise shifted out and simultaneously 4 Thar hung in and took 5 King Achilles and 2 Red Dragon inwards and caused severe crowding to 6 My Showtime which lost some ground. Apprentice K Leung the rider of 1 China Paradise was severely reprimanded and advised he would be expected to make a greater effort to straighten his mounts in future in similar circumstances.
