RACE-6 THE HULL RATING 70-50 (CLASS 2&3) 1510 METRES (89)

1 Luen On Star (A Calder) - Hung out 1300 metres turn until 1100 metres.
3 My Dream (L Corrales) - A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
4 Sixth Sense (W Smith) - Was slow to begin. At the home turn steadied when 10 Spring Thunder shifted out, then switched in over the heels off 10 Spring Thunder to obtain a clear run.
5 Diva Achiever (J Pescuiso) - Veterinary reported a late scratching at 4:54pm that 5 Diva Achiever was examined at the barrier and was found to be lame left fore. Trainer K M Chin was informed that 5 Diva Achiever will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary certificate is produced.
6 Northern Legend (R B Woodworth) - Laid out rounding the home turn. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
9 Delighted Solution (H Lam) - Factious in the barrier, was slow begin. Trainer M C Tam was informed that Stewards has placed a warning on the gelding due to its barrier manner.
10 Spring Thunder (K H Yu) - Shifted out at the home turn and 4 Sixth Sense had to be steadied and switch in to obtain a clear run. Jockey K H Yu was severely reprimanded for shifting out and to use more care in future when shifting ground.
11 Eangle Commander (R Maia) - Poor performance. When question Jockey R Maia reported that the gelding was restless in the barrier and kicked out on a number of occasions and after the start he felt the gelding was not striding out as it normally would, and he was disappointed in the gelding’s performance today. Trainer K C Chong was questioned regards to its poor performance, he reported that jockey was instructed to 3 or 4 position but was disappointed with today’s performance. Trainer K C Chong was informed to present the gelding to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 31st December 2017. In addition 11 Eangle Commander will not be permitted to race for 11 days until it has performed satisfactorily in an official Barrier Trial.
