Race Report

RACE-2 THE PRESTON RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1200 METRES (97)

1 Beautiful Creative (A Aucharuz) -At the 1050 metres shifted out severely crowding 8 Nam Kee'S Treasure over the heels of 5 Kelson and was checked and lost ground. At the 70 metres shifted out under pressure 5 Kelson momentarily steadied.
3 Flying Antelope (R Maia) - Shortly after the start shifted out and bumped 12 Pearl Lucky. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
5 Kelson (W L Ho) -At the 70 metres momentarily steadied.
8 Nam Kee'S Treasure (K H Yu) -At the 1050 metres checked when taking over the heels of 5 Kelson by 1 Beautiful Creative.
9 Chapman Way (M Nunes) - 100 metres after the start Rider dropped his whip. Jockey M Nunes was warned for dropping his whip.
11 Desi Style (Apprentice K Leung) -Jumped awkwardly. At the 700 metres turn raced wide.
12 Pearl Lucky (J Pescuiso) -Was slow into stride and shortly after bumped by 3 Flying Antelope.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Jockey A Aucharuz the rider of 1 Beautiful Creative pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MJC Rule 132 (i) in that at the 1050 metres he made insufficient effort to prevent his mount from shifting out and crowding 8 Nam Kee'S Treasure over the heels of 5 Kelson and having to be checked and lost ground.
Jockey A Aucharuz was fined the sum of HK$7000 in lieu of one raceday suspension. In arriving at penalty the Stewards took into account his guilty plea, his record and the severity of the interference. He was notified his right of the appeal.
