RACE-3 IACM LUNAR NEW YEAR TROPHY RATING 85-60 (CLASS 2) 1350 METRES (136)
1 Ashkari (W L Ho) -Was slow to begin. At the 300 metres was inconvenienced when 12 Gracywife which hung in had to steady off the heels of 5 Baby Horse. Near the 200 metres shifted out and bumped 12 Gracywife. Jockey W L Ho was told to use more care in future when shifting ground. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
2 Benevolent Friend (M Nunes) -At the 300 metres steadied in over the heels of 7 Starkiller to obtain clear running.
9 Win Fortune (C F Chan) - A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K H Leong was informed that he would be required to present 9 Win Fortune to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 25th February 2018 and in addition it will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial.
10 Delighted Solution (A Calder) - Was slow to begin.
11 Game Of Dreams (K H Yu) - Hung out from the 700 metres to the home turn. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer S H Cheong was informed that he would be required to present 11 Game Of Dreams, to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 25th February 2018.
12 Gracywife (M Wepner) -At about the 300 metres hung in and had to steady off the heels of 5 Baby Horse and continued to hang in for the remainder of the race. 1 Ashkari which was following was also inconvenienced. Near the 200 metres was bumped by 1 Ashkari which shifted out.
