Race Report

RACE-6 THE HAPPINESS RATING 45-25 (CLASS 4&5) 1350 METRES (139)
The start of this race was delayed, when the pacifiers on 6 Rider's Pride had to be replaced.

1 Tung's Choice (Apprentice K Leung) -Was slow to begin.
5 Easy Thai (L Corrales) -Was slow to begin.
6 Rider's Pride (J Pescuiso) -Dislodged its pacifiers whilst behind the barrier which had to be replaced. The Stewards spoke to Jockey J Pescuiso with regards to his bouncing in the saddle and unbalancing his mount. He was warned and told told to correct his riding style to avoid unbalancing his mounts in future. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
10 Gold On (K K Lai) -The Stewards spoke to Jockey K K Lai with regards to his bouncing in the saddle and unbalancing his mount. He was warned and told to correct his riding style to avoid unbalancing his mounts in future. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
12 Highspot (M Nunes) -Bounded out of the gates dislodging its rider. Trainer G Allendorf was informed that a warning had been placed on 12 Highspot for its barrier manners and should it perform in a similar manner in future further action may be taken.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Following the running of the race, the “Enquiry” sign was semaphored to allow the Stewards an opportunity to review the video patrol of the start. It was established as the start was effected 12 Highspot (M Nunes) bounded out of the gates dislodging its rider who suffered a harmless fall. Jockey M Nunes was examined by the Club’s Medical Officer and passed fit to continue riding.
