Race Report

RACE-3 THE VANCOUVER RATING 85-60 (CLASS 2) 1500 METRES (180)

1 Oh So Easy (W Smith) - A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Jockey reported that his mount struggled from the 600 metres and in the home straight failed to respond to his riding. Trainer K S Wong informed the Stewards that it has a history of bleeding. He was informed to present 1 Oh So Easy to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 7th April 2018.
2 Unselfish Trust (R Maia) - At the 700 metre turn rolled in and crowded 9 Autumn Cloud resulting in 7 Roaring Star being checked. A swab sample was taken for analysis. A post race veterinary examination revealed that it had suffered a bleeding attack. Trainer K C Chong was informed that the standard stand down period applies and before being permitted to race again, 2 Unselfish Trust will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official Barrier Trial and a veterinary clearance must be produced.
4 The Happy Prince (M Wepner) - Began to tire from the 250 metres.
5 Grand Double Win (Apprentice K Leung) - Failed to show early speed despite the urgings of its rider. At the 100 metres had to switch inwards over the heels of the tiring 4 The Happy Prince to obtain clear running. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Roaring Star (Apprentice C L Cheung) -At the 700 metres was checked when crowded by 9 Autumn Cloud which was carried in by 2 Unselfish Trust which rolled in.
9 Autumn Cloud (A Calder) -At the 700 metres was crowded onto 7 Roaring Star when taken in by 2 Unselfish Trust which had rolled in.
