2 Happy Encore (B Yamzon) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer W H Tse was informed to present 2 Happy Encore which had been beaten 26 lengths to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 2 June 2018.
4 Superlative Choice (F Henrique) -Was bumped at the start by 10 Windsor Arch.
6 Charity Group (K H Yu) -Was checked by the veterinary surgeons behind the barriers at the Jockey’s request and was passed fit to race. Showed no early speed, followed the field at a distance and failed to finish. Uncompetitive performance. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer M C Tam was informed that he would be required to present 6 Charity Group to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 2nd June 2018 and that the gelding will not be permitted to race for 11 days until it has performed satisfactorily in an official Barrier Trial.
8 Windsor Arch Three (Y M Choi) -At the start rolled out and crowded 9 Fortune Smiles.
9 Fortune Smiles (Apprentice K Leung) -Was crowded at the start by 8 Windsor Arch Three which had rolled out.
10 Windsor Arch (C F Chan) -Jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped 4 Superlative Choice. Leaving the straight on the first occasion over raced with its head up. Rider reported that his mount was making respiratory noises. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K C Chong was informed that he would be required to present 10 Windsor Arch which had been beaten in excess of 38 lengths to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination which is to include an endoscopic examination on Saturday, 2nd June 2018 and that the gelding will not be permitted to race for 11 days until it has performed satisfactorily in an official Barrier Trial.
