RACE-3 THE GISBORNE RATING 85-55 (CLASS 2) 1800 METRES (258)
1 Grand Double Win (L Corrales) -Was slow to begin.
2 River Control (R Maia) -Jumped awkwardly.
4 Wonder Holy (S Nakano) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K C Chong was informed he would be required to present 4 Wonder Holy to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 7th July 2018. In addition the gelding which had been beaten in excess of 18 lengths will not be permitted to race again for 11 days and until it has performed satisfactorily in an official Barrier Trial.
5 Contented N Happy (W L Ho) -Was slow to begin.
6 Luen On Treasure (O Chavez) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Turquoise Cry (M Wepner) -At the 650 metres shifted out to avoid the tiring 9 State Source Star and took 14 River Treasure out across the heels of 1 Grand Double Win, resulting in 14 River Treasure having to be steadied. Jockey M Wepner was issued with a reprimanded and was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in future. At the 80 metres blundered.
9 State Source Star (Y M Choi) -Began to tire badly from 700 metres. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer M C Tam was informed that he will be required to present 9 State Source Star to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 7th July 2018. In addition, the gelding which was beaten in excess of 40 lengths will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed satisfactorily in an official Barrier Trial.
12 Ready Fire (F Henrique) -Jockey F Henrique was issued with a reprimanded for having returned to Scales 2lbs over.
13 Hyshem (B Yamzon) -Was slow into stride. At the 400 metres had to steady off the heels of horses in front.
14 River Treasure (K H Yu) -Was slow into stride. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
