Race Report

RACE-2 THE TETRARCH RATING 30-0 (CLASS 6) 1200 METRES (269)

1 Techfaith Warrior (W Smith) -Shortly after the start received severe interference and lost ground,. At the 700 metre turn was bumped by 10 Chapman Bunbun. At the 300 metres was brushed by 2 Highspot.
2 Highspot (Apprentice C L Cheung) - Shortly after the start received severe interference and lost ground. At the 300 metres brushed 1 Techfaith Warrior.
4 Bellomaster (W L Ho) -Blundered at the start and was then slow into stride. Shortly after the start received severe interference and lost ground. A swab sample was taken for analysis. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
8 Wealthy Treasure (B Yamzon) - A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
9 Mission Magic (F Henrique) -At the start hung in severely crowding 10 Chapman Bunbun was which checked, became unbalanced, shifted ground abruptly causing severe interference to runners.
10 Chapman Bunbun (Y M Choi) -Shortly after the start was crowded between 1 Techfaith Warrior and 9 Mission Magic and checked. At the 700 metre turn rolled out and bumped 1 Techfaith Warrior. Near the winning post had to be steadied off the heels.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Shortly after the start 10 Chapman Bunbun was crowded between 1 Techfaith Warrior and 9 Mission Magic and checked. 9 Mission Magic then became unbalanced and bumped 7 Impeccable Genius, then shifted back in abruptly taking 1 Techfaith Warrior in onto 2 Highspot. As a consequence, 1 Techfaith Warrior, 2 Highspot, 9 Mission Magic, 4 Bellomaster were severely checked and lost ground. The Stewards were of the opinion that the interference was mainly due to 9 Mission Magic being very unbalanced and shifting ground abruptly. No further action was taken.
