RACE-3 DAVID GROUP MACAU DERBY (GROUP 1) RATING 4YO () 1800 METRES (276)

1 Pearl Green (M Nunes) -Inconvenience at the 1000 metres. Over the concluding 200 metres was inclined to hang in.
3 Winter Snow (K H Yu) - Was fractious in the barriers prior to the start and jumped awkwardly. Inconvenience at the 1000 metres. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K S Wong was informed that he would be required to present 3 Winter Snow to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 29 July 2018.
4 Eastern Paradise (H Lam) -At the 1000 metres had to steady.
5 Contented N Happy (W L Ho) - Inconvenience at the 1000 metres.
6 Happiness Rose (C F Chan) - At the 1000 metres began to lose ground. When questioned regarding 6 Happiness Rose which had been beaten in excess of 50 lengths, Trainer C F Chan could offer no tangible explanation and said that he believes there must be something wrong with gelding. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer Chan was informed that he would be required to present 6 Happiness Rose to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 29 July 2018. In addition, 6 Happiness Rose will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed satisfactorily in an official Barrier Trial.
8 Hyshem (L Corrales) - Jumped awkwardly. Inconvenience at the 1000 metres.
10 Casino Mok (W Smith) -At about the 1000 metres shift in obliging 4 Eastern Paradise to steady and at the same time began to lose ground and 1 Pearl Green, 5 Contented N Happy, 8 Hyshem, 14 Rose Gold Alloy and 3 Winter Snow were all inconvenienced. Jockey W Smith was severely reprimanded and advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances in future.
11 Royal Garden (R Curatolo) - From the 200 metres to the finish continually shifted out and finished very wide on the track.
12 Autumn Cloud (F Henrique) - Was slow into stride. At the 1100 metres threw its head up and over raced.
13 Ready Fire (O Chavez) - A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K H Leong was informed that he would be required to present 13 Ready Fire to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 29 July 2018.
14 Rose Gold Alloy (M Chadwick) - Inconvenience at the 1000 metres.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
The Stewards found Jockey R Curatolo the rider of 11 Royal Garden guilty of a breach of MJC Rule 132 (iii) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards. The particulars being that over the final 200 metres he made insufficient effort to keep his mount on a straight course and finished very wide on track, with his mount being beaten a neck and in doing so had cost his mount first placing. Jockey R Curatolo’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of one calendar month, commencing from Monday, 6 August 2018 and expiring on Wednesday, 5 September 2018. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
