Race Report

RACE-6 THE SAGRES RATING 45-25 (CLASS 4&5) 1200 METRES (297)

2 Leader All The Way (S Nakano) -Jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped 8 Bellomaster.
3 Sacred Major (B Yamzon)-A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
4 Bada Baby (O Chavez) -Jumped awkwardly and bumped 7 Special Steel and became unbalanced.
7 Special Steel (H Lam) -Was bumped by 4 Bada Baby at the start.
8 Bellomaster (F Henrique) -At the start blundered and was then bumped by 2 Leader All The Way and blundered again. Was pulled out of the race shortly after the start. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
9 Gauteng (Apprentice K Leung) -Jumped with its head up.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
The Stewards inquired into the reason 8 Bellomaster ridden by Jockey F Henrique was pulled out of the race shortly after the start. After considering all the evidence presented by Jockey F Henrique, the Stewards found Jockey F Henrique the rider of 8 Bellomaster guilty of a breach of MJC Rule 132 (iii) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards. Jockey F Henrique’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 2 months, commencing from Monday, 27 August 2018 and expiring on Friday midnight, 26 October 2018. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
