RACE-6 THE QUEENSLAND RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1510 METRES (303)

1 Garlic And Chili (K H Yu) -Hung out from the 1300 metres to until the 1000 metres.
2 Hostwin Power (N Callow) -Eased out of the race at approximately 600 metres. Rider reported that his mount failed to respond to his riding and he eased it down as it making respiratory noises. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer Y C Fung was informed that it would be required to present 2 Hostwin Power to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 26 August 2018.
3 Destney (F Henrique) -Approximately the 250 metres shifted out resulting in 8 Nothing To Say having to check and lost ground.
4 Eclair Infinity (W L Ho) -Bumped by 6 White Debbie at the start. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 White Debbie (R Maia) -Jumped awkwardly and bumped 4 Eclair Infinity.
8 Nothing To Say (O Chavez) -Approximately the 250 metres checked and lost ground.
9 One From Many (W Smith) -Was slow into stride.
10 Power Battery (S Nakano) -Was slow into stride. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
The Stewards inquired into the reason 8 Nothing To Say (O Chavez) was checked and lost ground at approximately the 250 metres. Jockey F Henrique the rider of 3 Destney pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MJC Rule 132 (i) in that approximately the 250 metres he allowed his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of 8 Nothing To Say resulting in 8 Nothing To Say having the check and lose ground. Jockey F Henrique was issued with a fine of HK$7,000 in lieu of a 1 racemeeting suspension. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
