RACE-2 THE REMINGTON RATING 45-25 (CLASS 4&5) 1050 METRES (32)

2 River Pearl (Apprentice C L Cheung) -Raced wide without cover throughout.
3 Go Go Mission (Y M Choi) -Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
4 President King (R Maia) -Jumped awkwardly.
7 Super Boy (M Wepner) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
9 Eclair Supreme (S Nakano) -Had a tendency to shift in under pressure in the home straight. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
The Stewards inquired into Jockey Y M Choi’s riding of 3 Go Go Mission (Y M Choi) and of particular concern to the Stewards was his lack of vigor from the 500 metres to the 200 metres. Jockey Y M Choi pleaded guilty to a charge under MJC Rule 132 (iii) for failing to ride 3 Go Go Mission the satisfaction of the Stewards. The particulars being that from the 500 metres until the 200 metres he failed to ride his mount with sufficient vigour and purpose. Jockey Y M Choi’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 5 racemeetings to cover the meetings of 27th October, 3rd, 9th, 16th and 20th November 2018. In arriving at the penalty the Stewards took into account Jockey Y M Choi’s guilty plea, his disciplinary history, the circumstances of the race and his personal circumstances. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
