Race Report

RACE-1 THE TIMARU RATING 45-0 (CLASS 4&5) 1200 METRES (43)

3 Go Go Mission (K K Lai) -Leaving the 700 metres had to be steadied off the heels of 10 Super Boy which when racing greenly, shifted in despite the efforts of its rider when steadied off the heels of 1 Algonquin Park which was taken out by 4 Mochi Mochi which when racing greenly made contact with the running rail and shifted out abruptly. After considering all of the circumstances, the Stewards could not portion blame to any one rider however advised all the riders to exercise more care in similar circumstances in future. Leaving the 300 metres raced in restricted room and had to be eased between 8 Chins Delight and 10 Super Boy which continued to race greenly and shifted out. The Stewards took no further action other than to place a warning on 10 Super Boy in regards to its racing manners.
4 Mochi Mochi (Apprentice C L Cheung) -Leaving the 700 metres raced greenly and made contact with the running rail and shifted out abruptly. Trainer K M Chin was advised that a warning was placed on 4 Mochi Mochi in relation to its racing manners.
5 Rainbow Achievers (R Maia) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 House Of Power (F Henrique) -Was slow into stride. Had to be steadied over the concluding stages when awkwardly placed on the heels of 8 Chins Delight which shifted in under pressure. K Leung the rider of 8 Chins Delight was issued with a severe reprimand and advised he should have made corrective measures to prevent his mount from shifting in sooner than he did on this occasion.
8 Chins Delight (K Leung) -Shifted in under pressure over the final 100 metres.
10 Super Boy (B Yamzon) -Raced greenly and was steadied leaving the 700 metres. Raced greenly throughout. Trainer M C Tam was advised that a warning was placed on 10 Super Boy in regards to its racing manners.
