Race Report

RACE-2 THE IRIS RATING 30-0 (CLASS 6) 1050 METRES (50)

1 Eclair Supreme (Apprentice C L Cheung) -When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance of 1 Eclair Supreme, Trainer K M Chin explained that in his opinion the drop back in class from its previous runs, the addition of blinkers for the first time, and the 7lbs claim from Apprentice C L Cheung, all had contributed to its improved performance.
3 Spicy King (W L Ho) -Bumped shortly after the start by 5 Lucky Hugo and was taken out onto the hindquarters of 4 Broadus and became unbalanced. In this incident 4 Broadus also had its hindquarters turned outwards and became unbalanced. After considering all of the circumstances, the Stewards took no action other than to remind all riders to exercise more care in similar circumstances. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
4 Broadus (B Yamzon) -Shortly after the start had its hindquarters turned out and became unbalanced when bumped by 3 Spicy King which had been taken out by 5 Lucky Hugo. Over the concluding stages was momentarily inconvenienced by 6 Cheerful Companion which shifted in under pressure. Rider reported that he was unable to ride is mount out fully over the concluding stages due to 6 Cheerful Companion which was shifting in under pressure. The Stewards noted his explanation.
5 Lucky Hugo (M Wepner) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 River Double (K H Yu) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
9 Chapman Bunbun (L Corrales) -Raced wide without cover throughout.
