RACE-5 THE WASHINGTON RATING 30-0 (CLASS 6) 1350 METRES (204)

3 River Double (Apprentice C L Cheung) -Was marginally slow to begin.
4 Hugo And Barry (F Henrique) -Was slow to begin. Raced fiercely in the early and middle stages.
6 Fortune Master (L Corrales) - Rider reported that his mount was making some respiratory noises.A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K M Chin was inform to present 6 Fortune Master to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 30 March 2019.
7 Prosperity Star (W L Ho) - Checked leaving the 400 metres. Rider reported that his mount was making some respiratory noises. Trainer K H Leong was informed to present 7 Prosperity Star to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 30 March 2019.
10 Road To Victory (W Smith) -Jumped away awkwardly. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
11 Go Go Fish (K Leung) - A post race veterinary examination revealed it was lame in the right foreleg. Trainer Pat Lee was informed that 11 Go Go Fish will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until such time that a veterinary certificate is produced. In addition it will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official Barrier Trial.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
The Stewards inquired into an incident leaving the 400 metres where 7 Prosperity Star was checked. Evidence was taken from the riders of horses 7 Prosperity Star (W L Ho), 4 Hugo And Barry (F Henrique) and 5 Broadus (B Yamzon). Jockey F Henrique the rider of 4 Hugo And Barry pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MJC Rule 132 (i) in that leaving the 400 metres he permitted his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of 7 Prosperity Star (W L Ho) which had to be checked. Jockey F Henrique’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of two racemeetings, however on application the Stewards ordered a one day suspension covering the racemeeting of Saturday, 6 April 2019 and in lieu of the additional racemeeting, the Stewards imposed a momentary penalty of HKD10,000. On arriving at penalty the Stewards took into account his guilty plea, his recent riding record and the degree of interference. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
