Race Report

RACE-3 THE MOSCOW RATING 70+ (CLASS 1&2) 1350 METRES (361)

2 Kelowna Star (F Henrique) -On entering the home straight bumped 9 Duke Da Vega when attempting a run between 9 Duke Da Vega and 10 Benevolent Friend.
3 Victory Megastar (L Corrales) -Was bumped by 11 Eclair Sunshine on jumping away.
6 Obrigado Mais (S Nakano) -Near the 1250 metres had to be steadied away from the heels of 2 Kelowna Star which was taken out slightly by 8 Sheng Li Superstar which shifted out abruptly away from 1 Fasuba which shifted out slightly. After considering all of the circumstances and in particular the racing manners of 8 Sheng Li Superstar at the point of the incident ,the Stewards took no action against any rider however Mr. Y C Fung the trainer of 8 Sheng Li was informed that a warning had been placed against the gelding for its racing manners. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Advance Mission (H Lam) -Was slow to begin.
8 Sheng Li Superstar (R Maia) -Raced greenly in the early stages, hung out rounding the first turn and again rounding the home turn. Leaving the 300 metres had a tendency to lay out under pressure. Rider reported that his mount raced greenly and traveled only fairly throughout out. He added that when placed under pressure his mount did not respond and he was disappointed with its finishing efforts. He added that 8 Sheng Li Superstar raced like a tired horse and may have come to the end of its preparation. A post race swab was taken for analysis. Trainer Y C Fung was informed that he would be required to present 8 Sheng Li Superstar to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 18 August 2019.
9 Duke Da Vega (W L Ho) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
11 Eclair Sunshine (Y M Choi) -Bumped with 3 Victory Megastar on jumping away.
