RACE-2 MACAU GOLD CUP (GROUP 1) RATING O () 1800 METRES (378)

1 The Alfonso (R Maia) -Jockey R Maia was issued with a reprimand for accidentally dropping his whip near the 400 metres.
2 Pearl Green (Y M Choi) -On entering the home straight was disappointed for a run between 7 Lover Paradise and 3 Sacred Capital and then had to be shifted out around the heels of 3 Sacred Capital to obtain clear running and in doing so carried 5 Royal Garden wider on the track.
3 Sacred Capital (W L Ho) -Raced wide rounding the home turn.
4 Duke Da Vega (S Ladjadj) -Near the 400 was momentarily hampered by 7 Lover Paradise which shifted out under pressure before being corrected by its rider.
5 Royal Garden (L Corrales) -Near the 100 metres was forced wider on the track by 2 Pearl Green which shifted out to improve.
6 Big Alloy (K Mizuno) -Raced wide without cover until near the 1400 metres.
7 Lover Paradise (K Leung) - Jumped away awkwardly.
8 Farson (S Nakano) -Prior to the race Trainer Pat Lee informed the Stewards in the presence of Jockey S Nakano that the instructions would be to endeavor to lead should circumstances permit.
9 Rose Gold Alloy (F Henrique) -Jumped away awkwardly. Shortly after the start rider lost the use of his right stirrup iron for a short distance. Passing the winning post on the first occasion raced ungenerously and had to be steadied off the heels of 11 The Macallan which shifted in slightly when not quite clear. Jockey C F Chan the rider 11 The Macallan was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.
11 The Macallan (C F Chan) -Raced wide until the 1300 metres. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
