Race Report

RACE-1 THE POZNAN RATING 35-0 (CLASS 5&6) 1500 METRES (175)

1 Lucky General (T Appie)-Jumped away awkwardly. Leaving the 400 metres had a tendency to lay out. Near the 300 metres had to be eased away from the heels of 8 Thunder Bear which had a tendency to hang in under pressure.
3 Luen On Steed (H Lam)-Raced fiercely in the middle stages. Leaving the 200 metres when struck with the whip shifted in under pressure.
4 Chase Wind (F Henrique)-Raced wide without cover until approaching the 1000 metres. Rider reported that as the horse had been slow to begin previously, he was instructed to try to get a good jump and have the horse traveling where it was comfortable. He stated that 4 Chase Wind began well today and he allowed it to stride forward and obtain the position outside the leader 2 King Of Champions and 4 Chase Wind traveled comfortably. He added leaving the 400 metres 4 Chase Wind was immediately under pressure and did not respond to his riding and in his opinion was disappointing. He further added that in his opinion 4 Chase Wind may not have appreciated racing on a quick back up from last week.
5 Jvala (K K Lai)-Bumped by 8 Thunder Bear on jumping away. Rounding the first turn commence to race fiercely and had to be steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of 8 Thunder Bear which was laying in away from 1 Lucky General.
6 River Rich (Apprentice C L Cheung)-Raced wide without cover until leaving the 800 metres.
7 Honey Biscuit (S Ladjadj)- In the early stages of the home straight had some difficulty in establishing a clear run. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
8 Thunder Bear (D Barros)-Jumped away awkwardly and bumped with 5 Jvala. Raced wide without cover until leaving the 600 metres. Had a tendency to hang in under pressure in the home straight. Trainer K H Leong was advised that a warning would be placed on 8 Thunder Bear in regards to its racing manners.
