Race Report

RACE-2 THE BRAGA RATING 45-20 (CLASS 4&5) 1200 METRES (291)

2 Chinese Hero (K H Yu) -Leaving the 200 metres had a tendency to hang out under pressure. Rider reported that near the 200 metres his mount felt awkward in its action and as a result he elected to ease it down. He further added that after the winning post his mount stumbled on two occasions. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer C W Choi was informed that he would be required to present 2 Chinese Hero to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 5 July 2020.
3 Take The Cake (W H Lao) -Raced wide without cover throughout. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
4 For Community (D Barros) -Leaving the 300 metres had a tendency to shift out under pressure.
5 Wealthy East (F Henrique) -Was marginally slow to begin. Rounding the home turn was bumped by 1 Chi Chai Sin Sang which shifted out to improve.
6 Joyful Bear (B Yamzon) -Was resaddled behind the barriers. Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out. Near the 150 metres had to alter course outwards away from the heels of 10 Chapman Way which was weakening.
7 Partners' Fortune (W L Ho) -Shifted out on jumping away and was steadied when bumping the hindquarters of 9 Turquoise Success. Rounding the home turn had to be steadied outwards away from the heels of 5 Wealthy East which was taken out when bumped by 1 Chi Chai Sin Sang which shifted out around the heels of 4 For Community to improve. Apprentice C L Cheung the rider of 1 Chi Chai Sin Sang was severely reprimanded and advised that would be expected to be sufficiently clear of runners when shifting ground.
8 Superb Shooter (J B Hamel) -Was marginally slow to begin and then had to be steadied away from the heels of 2 Chinese Hero which was taken out by 11 Fly Dragon which hung out on jumping away.
9 Turquoise Success (L Corrales) - Near the 500 metres raced fiercely on the heels of 1 Chi Chai Sin Sang and had to be steadied. Was held up on entering the home straight and was unable to obtain clear running until leaving the 200 metres.
10 Chapman Way (Y M Choi) -Jumped away awkwardly.
