RACE-6 THE SYDNEY RATING 45-20 (CLASS 4&5) 1200 METRES (117)
1 Ventures Elite (B Yamzon) -Was inclined to lay in under pressure in the early stages of the home straight.
3 Yings Fans (F Henrique) -Was tightened for room shortly after the start between 4 Heat Of The Battle which after brushing with 2 Roaring Fans shifted in and 1 Ventures Elite which was taken out after being bumped by 5 Special Charger which hung out on jumping away. Near the 750 metres was steadied. Was inclined to hang out for some distance leaving the 600 metres.
5 Special Charger (L Corrales) -Hung out on jumping away.
6 Chappo (W H Lao) -Brushed 8 Beauty Life on jumping away. Raced wide without cover throughout. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Kelvin's Choice (W L Ho) -Leaving the 900 metres momentarily raced in restricted room between 6 Chappo which shifted in and away from 8 Beauty Life and 4 Heat Of The Battle which was taken out slightly by 5 Special Charger which shifted out when laying out. Near the 750 metres when racing fiercely was eased and shifted inwards when momentarily tightened for room between 6 Chappo and 4 Heat Of The Battle, both of which shifted ground slightly. 3 Yings Fans which was following was steadied in consequence. After considering all of the circumstances, the Stewards advised both Jockeys M Tanaka the rider 4 Heat Of The Battle and W H Lao the rider of 6 Chappo to exercise more care in similar circumstances in future.
8 Beauty Life (D Barros) -Jumped away awkwardly and was brushed by 6 Chappo .
9 Captain Stylistic (S Ladjadj) -For some distance leaving the 1100 metres raced ungenerously. A post race endoscopic examination revealed that 9 Captain Stylistic had suffered a bleeding attack. Trainer G Allendorf was informed that the standard stand down period applies and 9 Captain Stylistic will not be permitted to race until such time that it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial and a veterinary certificate is produce.
