Race Report

RACE-4 THE OSAKA RATING 70-45 (CLASS 3) 1200 METRES (245)

1 Hostwin Achilles (W H Lao) -Near the 300 metres brushed with 5 Bow Noculars. Leaving the 100 metres shifted out under pressure and had to be corrected by its rider.
2 Pursuing Eagle (S Nakano) -Approaching the 800 metres when the pace of the race slowed, raced fiercely on the heels of 4 Gem Glory.
3 City Gold Income (C L Cheung) -Shortly after the start bumped with 11 For Community. Leaving the 800 metres was inclined to lay out and blundered near the 750 metres. Thereafter raced wide and without cover. Rounding the home turn was brushed by 8 Beauty Supreme. Rider reported that his mount raced wide without cover throughout and was inclined to lay out rounding the home turn. He further added that in the home straight, 3 City Gold Income when placed under pressure did not respond to his riding. Trainer K M Chin was informed that he would be required to present City Gold Income to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Monday, 10 May 2021.
5 Bow Noculars (T Appie) -Near the 300 metres brushed with 1 Hostwin Achilles.
7 Destiny's Choice (K H Yu) -Leaving the 400 metres blundered. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
8 Beauty Supreme (M Tanaka) -Raced fiercely in the early and middle stages. Rounding the home turn was brushed by 2 Pursuing Eagle which shifted out to obtain clear running. After being brushed by 2 Pursuing Eagle then shifted out and brushed 3 City Gold Income. Rider was unable to offer any tangible explanation for today’s performance other than in his opinion it was disappointing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K M Chin was informed that he would be required to present 8 Beauty Supreme to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Monday 10 May 2021.
10 Star Of Phoenix (B Yamzon) -On jumping away was bumped by 11 For Community. Following the race Jockey B Yamzon who was suffering from lower back pain was examined by the Club’s Medical Officer and was subsequently stood down from further riding engagements.
11 For Community (D Barros) -Jumped away awkwardly, shifted out and bumped 10 Star Of Phoenix. A short distance later then shifted back in and bumped 3 City Gold Income. From the 900 metres commenced to hang out and thereafter raced wide and without cover. Trainer S Chow was informed at a warning will be placed against 11 For Community in relation to its racing manners.
12 Rubick Kingdom (Y M Choi) -Was slow to begin. Raced fiercely in the early and middle stages and near the 950 metres blundered. Rider reported in the home straight his mount was unbalanced and blundered on a number of occasions and as a result of this, he rode his mount hands and heels and as he had some concerns with his mount’s action. The Stewards noted his explanation.
