Race Report

RACE-2 THE PERM (DIV.2) RATING 35-0 (CLASS 5&6) 1800 METRES (254)

1 Off The Bench (M Tanaka) -Rider reported that his mount was left flat footed from the 1000 metres and in his opinion may not have appreciated today’s good track condition. A post race swab was taken for analysis. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
3 Delighted Solution (C L Cheung) -Rider reported his mount did not respond to his riding from the 600 metres and in the home straight when placed under pressure, 3 Delighted Solution again did not respond. He added that as he had concerns that 3 Delighted Solution may have bled he then desisted from riding his mount out. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer M C Tam was informed that he would be required to present 3 Delighted Solution to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination and to include an endoscopic examination on Sunday, 23 May 2021 and in addition as 3 Delighted Solution was beaten 41 lengths, the gelding will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until such time that it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial.
4 General Fu Hao (L Corrales) -Jumped away awkwardly. Raced fiercely in the early and middle stages before being allowed to stride forward and take the lead position approaching the 900 metres. For some distance thereafter continued to race fiercely. Was inclined to lay out over the final 150 metres.
5 River Exquisite (K H Yu) -Raced fiercely in the early and middle stages.
