RACE-1 THE JIAYUGUAN RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1500 METRES (345)

4 Chak Chak (F Henrique) -Was slow to begin. Leaving the 300 metres was momentarily held up when disappointed for a run between 1 The Macallan and 2 Joy Joy Partners. Leaving the 200 metres when attempting to improve into a run between 1 The Macallan and 2 Joy Joy Partners, shifted out and had to be eased when awkwardly placed on the heels of 1 The Macallan. Rider reported that approaching the 100 metres he attempted to improve into a run between 2 Joy Joy Partners and 1 The Macallan, however his mount, when asked to improve was one paced and was unable to fully establish the run. He added that as he could foresee 1 The Macallan shifting in under pressure, which subsequently happened a short distance later, he elected to ease his mount and shift to the outside of 1 The Macallan to establish clear running once that horse shifted in.
5 Flash Shadow (W H Lao) -Rider reported that his mount was off the bit from the 600 metres, did not respond to his riding and stopped quickly in the home straight. He further added that in his opinion 5 Flash Shadow may have come to the end of its preparation and would benefit from a spell. A post race swab was taken for analysis. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Georgian Ease (B Yamzon) -Jumped away awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority. Rider reported that in his opinion his mount failed to handle today’s going. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer P Leyshan was informed that he would be required to present 6 Georgian Ease to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Monday, 9 August 2021.
7 Guillocharm (L Corrales) -Jumped away awkwardly. Leaving the 500 metres was taken wider and was brushed by 10 Sport General which shifted out around the heels of 9 Half Lamma Boss to improve.
9 Half Lamma Boss (D Barros) -Was resaddled behind the barriers. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
10 Sport General (K H Yu) -Leaving the 600 metres had to be steadied when momentarily racing in restricted between 8 Turquoise Square and 9 Half Lamma Boss which when weakening and inclined to lay in, shifted in slightly. After considering all of the circumstances, Jockey D Barros the rider 9 Half Lamma Boss was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances in future. Leaving the 500 metres shifted out around the heels of 9 Half Lamma Boss to improve and in doing so brushed 7 Guillocharm. Was held up rounding the home turn. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
