RACE-5 THE PERTH RATING 60-35 (CLASS 3&4) 1510 METRES (145)

2 Mok Danasty (L Corrales) -Near the 950 metres brushed with 9 Ventures Elite.
3 Premier Choice (Apprentice X C Liang) -Knuckled on jumping away. Rounding the home turn shifted out slightly and brushed 7 Cheers Brothers.
4 Unforgettable (S Nakano) -After being loaded in the barriers became fractious, dislodging its rider S Nakano who suffered a harmless fall. Was subsequently taken out of the barriers, underwent a veterinary examination and was passed fit to race. Trainer M C Tam was informed that due to the barrier manners of 4 Unforgettable, it will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until such time that it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial. Near the 500 metres shifted in of its own accord and made contact with the running rail. Was inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
7 Cheers Brothers (C L Cheung) -Approaching the 900 metres was eased when awkwardly placed on the heels of 5 Bravo Wind Chaser which shifted out slightly. Rounding the home turn was brushed by 3 Premier Choice which shifted out slightly. Leaving the 200 metres shifted in under pressure and had to be corrected by its rider.
8 Money Link (T Appie) -Was slow to begin. Faltered near the 700 metres and was subsequently eased out of the race. After considering all mitigating factors, Jockey T Appie was exempted from weighing in. A post race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had sustained a fracture to its left fore fetlock. A further veterinary examination of 8 Money Link will be conducted on Saturday, 12 February 2022.
9 Ventures Elite (Y M Choi) -Near the 950 metres brushed with 2 Mok Danasty. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
