Race Report

RACE-6 THE NEW ORLEANS RATING 40-10 (CLASS 5) 1200 METRES (170)

3 Hurry Potter (S H Huang) -Was slow to begin. Raced fiercely in the early and middle stages. Approaching the 200 metres shifted out abruptly away from 4 Master Of Mars and bumped 9 Heat Of The Battle. Trainer S H Cheong was informed that a warning had been placed on 3 Hurry Potter in relation to its racing manners. A post race veterinary examination revealed that it had sustained a laceration to its right hind.
4 Master Of Mars (B Yamzon) -Resaddled behind the barriers. Bumped by 7 Cleverly Dragon on jumping away.
5 Owner Alliance (C L Cheung) -Was slow to begin. Near the 750 metres shifted out and brushed 9 Heat Of The Battle.
6 City Gold Mars (M Tanaka) -Raced wide without cover throughout. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Cleverly Dragon (Y M Choi) -Jumped away awkwardly, made contact with the outside barrier partition and then bumped 4 Master Of Mars. Then shifted out abruptly to the outside running rail despite the efforts of its rider and was subsequently eased out of the race. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer Y C Fung was informed that 7 Cleverly Dragon will not be permitted to race for 11 days until such time that it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial.
9 Heat Of The Battle (S Nakano) -Near the 750 metres brushed by 5 Owner Alliance which shifted out. Raced wide without cover throughout. Approaching the 200 metres was bumped by 3 Hurry Potter which shifted out abruptly away from 4 Master Of Mars despite the efforts of its rider. After considering all the circumstances a warning was placed on 3 Hurry Potter in relation to its racing manners.
10 Thar (Apprentice Tesuri) -Leaving the 700 metres had to be eased when racing in restricted room between 6 City Gold Mars and 3 Hurry Potter which when racing fiercely on the heels of 1 Sievert shifted out.
12 Fortune Fast (K F Choi) -Shortly after the start was inclined to hang out.
