Race Report

RACE-2 THE SHANTOU RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1510 METRES (234)

1 Akeli Sword (Apprentice X C Liang) -Near the 1350 metres shifted in and bumped 10 Spicy Allez. Raced wide without cover and was inclined to lay out throughout.
2 Owner Alliance (C L Cheung) -Shortly after the start bumped with 3 Hot Spring Project.
3 Hot Spring Project (B Yamzon) -Shortly after the start bumped with 2 Owner Alliance.
4 Eclair Boom (Apprentice Tesuri) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K M Chin was informed that 4 Eclair Boom which had been beaten in excess of 33 lengths will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial.
5 Modena Best (L Corrales) -Was slow to begin.
9 Destiny Flight (T Appie) -Jumped away awkwardly and made contact with the inside barrier partition. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K H Leong was informed that 9 Destiny Flight which had been beaten in excess of 31 lengths will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial.
10 Spicy Allez (K F Choi) -Near the 1350 metres was bumped by 1 Akeli Sword which shifted in. Raced wide without cover throughout. A post race veterinary examination revealed that 10 Spicy Allez had sustained a small laceration to its right foreleg.
