RACE-1 THE MADRAS RATING 45-25 (CLASS 4&5) 1200 METRES (266)

3 Bravo Wind Chaser (Y M Choi) -Bumped with 5 Destiny Flight on jumping away.
4 Courier Specialty (L Corrales) -Near the 500 metres had to be steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of 11 Gold Hero which lost ground whilst being checked.
5 Destiny Flight (Apprentice Tesuri) -Bumped with 3 Bravo Wind Chaser on jumping away. Near the 800 metres had to be eased when awkwardly placed on the heels of 3 Bravo Wind Chaser. Blundered near the 750 metres.
6 Carry On For Ages (S Nakano) -Brushed by 9 Hostwin Splendid on jumping away. Raced wide rounding the home turn.
7 Everlasting Goal (B Yamzon) -Raced wide without cover for the majority.
8 River Pentium (S H Huang) -Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.
9 Hostwin Splendid (K F Choi) -Jumped away awkwardly and brushed with 6 Carry On For Ages. Near the 550 metres was taken wider on the track by 12 Wealthyness which raced up onto the heels of 8 River Pentium and shifted out. Jockey K H Yu the rider of 12 Wealthyness was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances in future. Was inclined to lay in rounding the home turn. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
10 Wealthy Diamond (A A Rivera) -Proved difficult to load. After considering all of the circumstances, Trainer S Chow was informed that a warning had been placed on 10 Wealthy Diamond in relation to its barrier manners. On jumping away was crowded for room between 8 River Pentium and 11 Gold Hero which hung out despite the efforts of its rider.
11 Gold Hero (M Tanaka) -Hung out on jumping away. Near the 500 metres was checked. Was inclined to lay out under pressure over the final 200 metres.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
The Stewards inquired into an incident near the 500 metres where 11 Gold Hero was checked. Evidence was taken from the riders of 2 Romantique (T Appie), 9 Hostwin Splendid (K F Choi) and 11 Gold Hero (M Tanaka). Jockey K F Choi the rider of 9 Hostwin Splendid pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MJC Rule 132 (i) in that near the 500 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of 2 Romantique which was taken in onto 11 Gold Hero which had to be checked. Jockey K F Choi’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of one racemeeting covering the meeting of Sunday, 14 August 2022. In arriving at penalty the Stewards took into account Jockey K F Choi’s guilty plea, his riding record and all mitigating factors. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
