Race Report
RACE-5 THE SAPPORO RATING 55-25 (CLASS 4) 1800 METRES (296)

3 Spicy Allez (L Corrales) -Was resaddled behind the barriers. Leaving the winning post on the first occasion had to be checked away from the heels of 9 Mongolian Mok which lost ground when being checked away from the heels of 2 Ronson. Raced wide without cover from the 600 metres. Near the 50 metres was obliged to alter course outwards away from the heels of 7 Fortune Wai Wai which shifted out under pressure. Jockey C L Cheung the rider of 7 Fortune Wai Wai was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
4 Top Mountain Hero (Apprentice X C Liang) -Bounded on jumping away. Near the 400 metres was steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of 6 Restarted. On entering the home straight brushed the hindquarters of 5 Ocean Warrior when attempting a run between 5 Ocean Warrior and 6 Restarted where there was insufficient room. Near the 250 metres momentarily raced in restricted room when again attempting a run between 5 Ocean Warrior and 6 Restarted where there was insufficient room. Apprentice X C Liang the rider of 4 Top Mountain Hero was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances on both occasions.
5 Ocean Warrior (K F Choi) -Shifted in on jumping away and had to be corrected by its rider. On entering the home straight momentarily became unbalanced after its hindquarters were brushed by 4 Top Mountain Hero which was attempting a run between 5 Ocean Warrior and 6 Restarted where there was insufficient room. Apprentice X C Liang the rider of 4 Top Mountain Hero was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
6 Restarted (M Tanaka) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Fortune Wai Wai (C L Cheung) -Near the 400 metres shifted out after being awkwardly placed on the heels of 4 Top Mountain Hero and bumped 10 Golden Wai. Was inclined to shift out under pressure over the final 150 metres.
8 Wealthy Sun (Apprentice Tesuri) -Made contact with the outside barrier partition on jumping away. Had to be steadied over the concluding stages when awkwardly placed on the heels of 9 Mongolian Mok which shifted in when blundering.
9 Mongolian Mok (H Lam) -Leaving the winning post on the first occasion when racing fiercely, shifted out and had to be checked away from the heels of 2 Ronson which at the same time shifted in slightly. 3 Spicy Allez which was following was checked away from the heels of 9 Mongolian Mok in consequence. As the Stewards deemed this a racing incident, no action was taken. For some distance thereafter raced fiercely. Leaving the 800 metres rider readjusted his right stirrup iron. Blundered over the concluding stages.
10 Golden Wai (T Appie) -Near the 400 metres was bumped by 7 Fortune Wai Wai which shifted out after being awkwardly placed on the heels of 4 Top Mountain Hero which lost ground whilst being steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of 6 Restarted. As the Stewards deemed this a racing incident, no action was taken.
