RACE-1 THE PITTSBURG (Div.2) RATING 30-0 (CLASS 6) 1350 METRES (138)

3 Beautiful Beach (S Nakano)- Raced very wide until the 700 metres.
4 Ventures Sincefoon (Apprentice A Liu)- Rider A Liu Stated when questioned that he had been instructed to attempt to lead today. However, after receiving the kickback, the gelding was reluctant to stretch out and settled at the rear of the field despite his urgings. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
5 Beautiful Nineteen (K F Choi)- Beaten favorite. Rider K F Choi could offer no real explanation for the gelding’s performance today.
7 Brilliant Boy (Apprentice X C Liang)- Second favorite, improved performance. Trainer M C Tam explained when questioned that the gelding had trialed very well during the week against class 1 horses. And in addition was first up after a spell and has come back a far more mature horse.
8 House Of Power (M Alvarez)- Was slow to begin (1L).
9 Guillocharm (S H Huang)- On jumping away was crowded between 6 No Exit and 3 Beautiful Beach which shifted in. As a result lost ground. Suffered a bleeding attack. Trainers K C Tse/ P Leyshan were informed that the standard stand down period applies and before being permitted to race again, 9 Guillocharm will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial and a veterinary clearance must be produced.
