Race Report

RACE-4 THE CEBU RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1050 METRES (335)

2 Not A Single Help (L Corrales) –When questioned Jockey L Corrales explained that he was instructed to ride the gelding where comfortable and after beginning well his mount was able to obtain the lead very easily. He highlighted that when the gelding raced on the 2nd July 2016, it struck some trouble at the start and had settled further back on that occasion that it otherwise would have done.
4 Nickel Alloy (H Lam) –Jumped away awkwardly, shifted in and bumped 9 Diamond Rocket. Raced very wide without cover throughout. Rider reported that his mount was under pressure and failed to run on from the 600 metres and in his opinion was disappointing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. A swab sample was taken from the gelding for analysis.
5 Lovely Boy (L Salles) –The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of the gelding at 4:52pm when it was reported by the Veterinary Surgeon it was suffering from colic. Trainer C Marshall was informed that the gelding will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary clearance is produced.
6 Rider Navigator (W Smith) –Was marginally slow to begin, then had to be checked to avoid the heels of 8 Peace Get Lucky which shifted in abruptly after being bumped by 3 Woodney which had commenced awkwardly and shifted in.
9 Diamond Rocket (C F Wong) – Rider reported that his mount was unable to muster early speed despite his urgings, however finished the race off well in the straight.
10 There You'Ll Be (A Aucharuz) – At the 200 metres was inconvenienced and had to be steadied outwards to avoid the heels of 8 Peace Get Lucky which shifted in.
