Race Report

RACE-1 THE MIAMI RATING (SAND) 2&3-YEAR-OLD (RATING 55-0) 1350 METRES (350)

1 Prosperity Star (L Salles) – After jumping away was bumped by 6 Brilliant Cash and then became unbalanced for a short distance when racing tight to that gelding’s outside.
2 Great Party (R Curatolo) –After jumping away shifted out, and became unbalanced when having its hindquarters turned, after making contact with 6 Brilliant Cash. Shortly after this was inconvenienced by 1 Prosperity Star which shifted in.
3 Show Smart (W Smith) – After passing the 400 metres shifted in slightly and brushed 2 Great Party. Raced keenly through the early stages. At the winning post had to be steadied off the heels of 2 Great Party which shifted out. Jockey R Curatolo the rider of 2 Great Party was reminded of his obligations that he must be clear of runners when shifting ground at all times.
4 Full Of Luck (L Corrales) –Raced keenly in the back straight. Raced three wide without cover. Laid in inside the 200 metres resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten his mount.
5 Gold On (W H Lao) –Was marginally slow to begin. Approaching the 1100 metres was steadied when awkwardly placed between 7 Hey Hey Companion and 8 Fantastic Destiny.
6 Brilliant Cash (A Aucharuz) – Shortly after the start was hampered and lost ground when tightened for room between 2 Great Party and 1 Prosperity Star.
7 Hey Hey Companion (W L Ho) –Was slow to begin and then hampered by 4 Full Of Luck which shifted out, as a result lost ground.
