Race Report

RACE-6 THE JORDAN VALLEY RATING 85-60 (CLASS 2) 1510 METRES (230)

4 Grand Double Win (Apprentice K Leung) –Reared on jumping away and was slow to begin. Approaching the 400 metres shifted out around the heels of 2 Gold Alloy to improve and made contact with 3 Pacers Bahhare. Leaving the 250 metres rider dropped his right rein. Leaving the 200 metres shifted out abruptly clipping the heels of 8 Krystrump blundered and dislodged Apprentice K Leung who sustained an injury to his right foot.
7 Macau Spring (R Curatolo) –Was slow to begin.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
The Stewards inquired into an incident which took place near the 200 metres whereby Apprentice K Leung the rider of 4 Grand Double Win was dislodged from his mount. Evidence was taken from Apprentice K Leung the rider of 4 Grand Double Win and Jockey M Wepner the rider of 8 Krystrump and Trainer Y C Fung the Master of Apprentice Leung. It was established that leaving the 250 metres, Apprentice Leung dropped his right rein and for some distance thereafter attempted to regain control of his mount and near the 200 metres 4 Grand Double Win shifted out abruptly clipping the heels of 8 Krystrump blundered and dislodged Apprentice Leung. After considering all of the circumstances, the Stewards took no further action other than to advise Apprentice Leung and his Master Trainer Fung that the Stewards would be referring the incident to the Club’s Master of Apprentices for further schooling.
