RACE-4 MACAU GOLDEN GROUP FAT CHOY PLATE RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1500 METRES (151)

1 Hopefully Tomorrow (R Maia) -At the 550 metres shifted around the heels of 11 One Belt One Road and carried 6 Luen On Treasure outwards. In the home straight at approximately the 200 metres shifted out and carried 6 Luen On Treasure outwards. At approximately the 50 metres shifted out and carried 6 Luen On Treasure outwards slightly.
2 Ready Fire (M Belli) -At the 700 metres was checked when 7 Silver Baby over raced and struck the heels of 14 Winning Express, blundered and shifted out abruptly.
3 Rose Gold Alloy (H Lam) -Was slow into stride.
4 Lucky Today (Apprentice K Leung) - A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
5 Grateful Favors (F Henrique) -Was slow into stride.
6 Luen On Treasure (A Calder) -At the 550 metres was carried outwards by 1 Hopefully Tomorrow. In the home straight at approximately the 200 metres was carried outwards by 1 Hopefully Tomorrow and again at the 50 metres.
7 Silver Baby (J Pescuiso) -At the 700 metres over raced and struck the heels of 14 Winning Express, blundered and shifted out abruptly and checked 2 Ready Fire.
9 Surdmaster (W Smith) - A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
12 Superluck Master (W L Ho) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
“Correct Weight” was delayed when the Stewards considered an objection lodged by Jockey A Calder the rider of 6 Luen On Treasure (2nd placegetter) against 1 Hopefully Tomorrow (R Maia) being declared the winner by the Judge for alleging interference on a number of occasions. Evidence was taken from both riders in the presence of their respective trainers Mr. G Allendorf and Mr. Y C Fung. After reviewing the official patrol film and considering the evidence, it was established that at the 550 metres 1 Hopefully Tomorrow shifted out around the heels of 11 One Belt One Road and carried 6 Luen On Treasure outwards and in the home straight 1 Hopefully Tomorrow shifted out at approximately the 200 metres and carried 6 Luen On Treasure outwards and again at approximately the 50 metres shifted out and carried 6 Luen On Treasure outwards slightly. The Stewards were of the opinion that the material effect of the incidents was less than the margin between the two horses at the finish and as such the objection was overruled and the Judge’s placings stood.
