Race Report

RACE-9 L' ARC MACAU CHARITY TROPHY RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1200 METRES (275)

1 Beautiful Creative (O Chavez) - A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
3 Chapman Way ( R Maia) - Rider reported that given the tempo of the race in the early and middle stages, he was satisfied with the gelding’s performance today. He added in his opinion that 3 Chapman Way prefers tracks with a bit more give in the ground.
5 Electroplate Alloy (L Corrales) -Held up rounding the home turn and in the straight was unable to establish clear running until the 100 metres.
6 Heng Feng Star (Apprentice C L Cheung) - Near the 600 metres became unbalanced and had to be eased between 7 Moral Integrity which was inclined to lay in and 4 Satellite Boss which was taken out slightly by 2 Grexit which shifted out. After considering all the circumstances, the Stewards could not attribute blame to any one rider and took no further action. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer S H Cheong was informed that 6 Heng Feng Star which had been beaten 29 lengths will not be permitted to race 11 days and until such time it has performed satisfactorily in an official Barrier Trial.
7 Moral Integrity (S Ladjadj) -Raced wide without cover throughout. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
10 Glory Top (C F Chan) -Leaving the 400 metres brushed with 11 Honey Biscuit.
11 Honey Biscuit (K Mizuno) - Leaving the 400 metres brushed with 10 Glory Top.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Following the running of the race the “Enquiry Sign” was semaphored to allow the Stewards to review the patrol videos of the start of the race to ascertain whether 1 Beautiful Creative had been afforded a fair start. It was established that when the start was effected 1 Beautiful Creative got its head up, turned it to the left into the adjacent barrier partition and as a result lost considerable ground. As the Stewards were satisfied that 1 Beautiful Creative had been given every opportunity for a fair start, it was declared a runner and correct weight was semaphored. Trainer K C Chong was informed that in view of the barrier manners of 1 Beautiful Creative it will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until such time that it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial.
