Race Report

RACE-1 THE MILAN RATING 45-25 (CLASS 4&5) 1350 METRES (255)

2 Baby Shark (K H Yu) -Was inclined to lay out rounding the home turn.
3 Farmer's Voice (H Lam) -Near the 1200 metres had to be eased away from the heels of 7 Joyful Vanguard which was inclined to shift in and away from 6 Plikfire which when racing greenly was inclined to lay in despite the efforts of its rider.
4 Nice Bird Song (S Nakano) -Was marginally slow to begin. Rider was unable to offer any tangible explanation for tonight’s performance. A post race swab was taken for analysis. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
5 Desi Master (M Tanaka) -Near the 1200 metres was brushed by 6 Plikfire.
6 Plikfire (C L Cheung) -Raced greenly and was inclined to lay in during the early stages and near the 1200 metres had to be corrected by its rider. Whilst being corrected by its rider shifted out and brushed with 5 Desi Master. Near the 1000 metres when continuing to race greenly shifted in and bumped 7 Joyful Vanguard. Was inclined to lay in for the majority of the race. Trainer S H Cheong was informed that a warning had been placed on 6 Plikfire in regards to its racing manners. Near the 50 metres was eased when momentarily racing in restricted room to the inside of 3 Farmer's Voice which shifted in slightly under pressure.
7 Joyful Vanguard (K F Choi) -Near the 1000 metres was bumped by 6 Plikfire which shifted in when racing greenly. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer M C Tam was informed that 7 Joyful Vanguard which was beaten 47 lengths will not be permitted to race for 11 days until such time that it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial.
