“Thar”, “River Control”, “Oh So Easy”, “Romantic Touch”, “Sacred Man”, “Huka Eagle”, “More Than Happy” and “Victory Megastar” won the Roosevelt Macau Cup (Lisboa Juvenile) (Listed Race), Grand Lisboa Palace Cup (Listed Race), Grand Lisboa Cup (Group 3), Macau Hong Kong Trophy (Group 1), SJM Macau Derby (Triple Crown 2nd Leg) ( Group 1), Chairman’s Challenge Cup (Group 1), Oceanus At Jai Alai Cup (Sand Specialist Stakes - Group 3) and Macau (Yoho Twins) R-Residence Cup (Sand Classic Cup - Group 3) respectively which were held on Saturday, 20 May 2017.
After the Roosevelt Macau Cup (Lisboa Juvenile) (Listed Race), Mr Mike Lam, Chairman of Board of Roosevelt Macau presented the trophies to the winning Owner Mr Yuen Siu Yuen, Trainer K S Wong and Jockey A Aucharuz respectively. After that, Mr Thomas Li, Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer of MJC presented souvenirs to Mr Mike Lam as thanks. Before the race, Mr Mike Lam presented the Best Performance Mafoo Award to the mafoo of “Surdmaster”.
After the Grand Lisboa Palace Cup (Listed Race), Dr Vitor Sereno, Consul General of Portugal in Macau and Hong Kong. Mr Arnaldo Ho, Assistant Chief Operating Officer of SJM. Mr Robert McBain, Chief Financial Officer of SJM Holdings Limited presented the trophies to the winning Owner Mr King Ho, Trainer S H Cheong and Jockey R Maia respectively. Before the race, Mr Henry Brockman, Chief Administrative Officer of SJM Cotai presented the Best Performance Mafoo Award to the mafoo of “River Control”.
After the Grand Lisboa Cup (Group 3), Mr Jose Maria da Fonseca Tavares, President of the Management Committee of Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau of the Macau S.A.R. Government. Dr Rui Cunha, Director of SJM. Mr Chan Chan Hung, Executive Director of Casino Operations of Grand Lisboa presented the trophies to the winning Owner Mr Ho Ken Hon, Trainer K S Wong and Jockey Z Purton respectively. Before the race, Mr Joseph Tam, Manager of Finance & Accounts Department of SJM presented the Best Performance Mafoo Award to the mafoo of “Oh So Easy”.
After the Macau Hong Kong Trophy (Group 1), Mr Paulo Martins Chan, Director of the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau of the Macao S.A.R. Government. Mr Jose Maria da Fonseca Tavares, President of the Management Committee of Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau of the Macau S.A.R. Government. Mr Lau Cho Un, Vice-president, Sports Bureau of the Macau S.A.R. Government presented the trophies to the winning Owners Mr Ming Shui Sum & Ms Alice Ming Bo Ting, Trainer A S Cruz and Jockey Z Purton respectively. Then, Ms Angela Leong, Vice Chairman & Executive Director of MJC presented souvenirs to Mr Paulo Martins Chan. Mr Thomas Li, Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer of MJC presented souvenirs to Mr Jose Maria da Fonseca Tavares. Mr Lee Wai Man, Director of MJC presented souvenirs to Mr Lau Cho Un. After the SJM Macau Derby (Triple Crown – 2nd Leg) (Group 1), Mr Paulo Martins Chan, Director of the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau of the Macao S.A.R. Government. Ms Angela Leong, Managing Director & Chief Administrative Officer of SJM. Mr Timothy Fok, Director of SJM presented the trophies to the winning Owners Mr Chen Ching Lung & Dato K S Yap, Trainer J Lau and Jockey Z Purton. Then, Mr Thomas Li, Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer of MJC presented souvenirs to Ms Angela Leong as thanks. Before the race, Ms Connie Kong, Director of SJM presented the Best Performance Mafoo Award to the mafoo of “Same Beauty”.
At the SJM Macau Derby Special Bonus presentation ceremony, Mr Thomas Li, Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer of MJC presented the Cheque to Mr Chen Ching Lung & Dato K S Yap, Owners of Sacred Man. Dr Rui Jose da Cunha, Director of MJC presented the Cheque to Trainer J Lau. Mr Liu Siu Mun, Director of MJC presented the Cheque to Jockey Z Purton.
After the Chairman’s Challenge Cup (Group 1), Ms Angela Leong, Vice Chairman & Executive Director of MJC. Mr Thomas Li, Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer of MJC and Mr Lee Wai Man, Director of MJC presented the trophies to the winning Owner Mr Colin Keane, Trainer G Allendorf and Jockey A Calder. Before the race, Dr Rui Jose da Cunha, Director of MJC presented the Best Performance Mafoo Award to the mafoo of “Sweet Korean”.
The lucky draws were scheduled after Race 6. Twenty five winners were drawn by Mr Joseph Tam, Manager of Finance & Accounts Department of SJM and Mr Henry Brockman, Chief Administrative Officer of SJM Cotai respectively.
After the Oceanus at Jai Alai Cup (Sand Specialist Stakes - Group 3), Mr Arnaldo Ho, Assistant Chief Operating Officer of SJM. Mr Jack Ung, President of Jai Alai Oceanus and Mr Bernard Yiu, Senior Consultant of SJM Group Marketing presented the trophies to one of the winning Owners Mr Leung King Wui, Trainer K S Cheong and Jockey M Wepner. Before the race, Mr Marco Ieong, Vice President of Jai Alai Oceanus presented the Best Performance Mafoo Award to the mafoo of “More Than Happy”.
After the Macau (YOHO Twins) R-Residence Cup (Sand Classic Cup - Group 3), Mr Mike Lam, Chairman of Board of Roosevelt Macau presented the trophies to the winning Owner Mr See Wai Keung, Trainer J M Moore and Jockey L Corrales respectively.
